The Village of Mattawan

The Village of Mattawan will be holding meetings for selected candidates to be interviewed for the vacant Village Manager position on February 11, 2025 beginning at 4:00 PM and February 18, 2025 beginning at 3:00 PM. These meetings are open to the public and will be held at Village Hall, 24221 Front Ave. Call the Village Office at 269-668-2128 with any questions.

The Village of Mattawan will accept letters of interest for one (1) open seat on the Village Planning Commission Council, term ending November 2028.  Planning Commission meets the third Wednesday of February, May, August and November at 7:00 PM. All interested persons should send a letter of interest along with your qualifications and reason for wanting to serve on the Village Planning Commission to Village Hall at 24221 Front Ave. or by email to offices@mattawanmi.com. Call the Village Office 269-668-2128 with any questions.

The mission of the Village of Mattawan government is to provide public services in an effective and efficient manner and to improve the quality of life for all of the residents and visitors in our community.

Mattawan is located on the eastern border of Van Buren County, easily accessible from I-94. Its local economy is supported by a strong manufacturing base, including plastic products and pharmaceutical research & development. Its proximity to the Kalamazoo area just 7 miles away also lends to its economic strength. The Village offers small-town charm in the downtown area which features a shady village park and a row of unique shops and eating establishment.
