The mission of the Village of Mattawan government is to provide public services in an effective and efficient manner and to improve the quality of life for all of the residents and visitors in our community.
Mattawan is located on the eastern border of Van Buren County, easily accessible from I-94. Its local economy is supported by a strong manufacturing base, including plastic products and pharmaceutical research & development. Its proximity to the Kalamazoo area just 7 miles away also lends to its economic strength. The Village offers small-town charm in the downtown area which features a shady village park and a row of unique shops and eating establishments.
You can purchase Memorial Bricks to honor families or businesses who have an attachment to the Village of Mattawan.
